Polyether modified silicone oil in daily chemical industry

The application of amino polyether modified silicone oil in shampoo does not reduce the foam and viscosity, but has a certain adsorption effect on the hair, making the hair fluffy, soft, smooth, antistatic, and easy to comb. Amino polyether modified silicone oil can be used in personal care products, which is colorless and odorless, non-irritating to the human body, and does not affect the normal breathing and sweating of the skin. It can also reduce the surface tension of cosmetics, which is beneficial to the diffusion of cosmetics on the skin and hair, gives hair luster and antistatic properties, and has good antibacterial effects. Adding aminopolyether-modified silicone oil to the formula of conditioner and hair styling agent not only has the effect of maintaining style, but also easily forms a film, making the hair shiny and smooth. Used in hair detergent formulations to make hair soft and shiny. Compared with shampoos without silicone oil, the wet combing effect and dry combing effect of shampoo containing 2% quaternized polyether silicone oil can be improved by 28% and 21.2% respectively.

 

Polyether modified silicone oil in textile industry

Fabrics (especially cotton fabrics) finished with aminopolyether-modified silicone oil can still maintain good hydrophilicity and obtain high wrinkle resistance and super smooth feeling. Adding it to the fixing agent can prevent reactive dyes and direct dyes from fading when the fabric is rubbed dry or wet. Treating fabrics or fibers with aminopolyether-modified silicone oil containing ester groups can make the fabrics both super soft and hydrophilic. Polyether silicone oil containing aromatic amino groups has higher heat resistance than ordinary polyether silicone oil, and is suitable for high-temperature resistant fiber oil or resin additives. If it is added to ordinary polyether modified silicone oil, the heat resistance of polyether silicone oil can be improved. Silicone copolymers containing epoxy groups, amino groups and polyethers are easily soluble in water and can form lakes with water-soluble dyes, which are concentrated on the fiber surface. It has the function of increasing slipperiness, can reduce the surface friction coefficient of fibers, and significantly improve the color fastness of dry and wet rubbing of fabrics; it can also make the dyed products after fixation generally have no discoloration problem, and still maintain the breathability and soft feel of the fabric. Fabrics finished with amino- and epoxy copolyether-modified silicone oil have extremely low surface tension and a contact angle with water greater than 150°C. They exhibit excellent hand feel, are soft, fluffy, and slippery, and can be repaired without turning yellow. Ester-containing carboxyl polyether-modified silicone oil has a good dispersion effect on dispersed blue dyes and can prevent the dye from re-aggregating during high-temperature dyeing. Phosphate ester polyether modified silicone oil has good lubricity and antistatic properties for fibers.
