Silicone Waterproofing Agent

This product is a high-performance, environmentally friendly silicone cement mortar waterproofing agent that integrates waterproofing, water-reducing and self-reinforcing functions.

Waterproof mechanism

When the waterproofing agent is hydrated with cement mortar and water, it is first hydrolyzed into hydroxyl groups. The silicone hydroxyl group and the silicone hydroxyl group of silica undergo a cross-linking reaction under alkaline catalysis to form a three-dimensional network of silicate, which blocks the pores of hydration of cement during the process. The hydrophobic silane group forms a water-repellent film on the pores and a water-repellent film on the cement surface. Therefore, this waterproofing agent has dual waterproofing effects.

Water reduction mechanism:

The emulsion contains a certain amount of non-ionic surfactant, which reduces the friction resistance of cement mortar or concrete during the mixing process. It improves fluidity, workability, and has a sufficient water reduction effect. During the cement maintenance process, no need replenish moisture and make the structure tighter, thus improving the strength of the product.

It is used as a waterproofing agent for cement mortar concrete in construction projects. It has the function of resisting cracks and increasing structural strength. It can also be used for surface waterproofing and moisture-proofing of cement substrates, clay substrates, gypsum, bricks and various insulation materials. deal with.

Test data: Add this waterproofing agent to the water at 1 to 2% of the cement content, stir evenly, and then add it to sand and cement according to the proportion for mixing and construction. After the concrete is soaked in water for two days, the water absorption rate drops by more than 85% (different working conditions may cause different results), the penetration depth of horizontal painting operations is more than 2~10mm (the penetration depth will be different for different substrates).

Instructions

Cement mortar mixing:

1. Weigh the cement and other materials, grind them with machinery and mix them evenly;

2. Weigh out 1.0-2% of the cement weight of the waterproofing agent and add it to the water. The amount of water should be 35-40% of the cement material, and stir evenly;

3. Under mechanical stirring, add water containing waterproofing agent to the cement mixture and mix thoroughly with machinery;

4. The construction can be done by pouring or scraping with a scraper;

5. Please use up the waterproofing agent within 3 hours after diluting it with water and adding it for stirring. Otherwise, the waterproofing agent is highly alkaline and the protective agent will be cross-linked prematurely, which will affect the waterproofing effect. At the same time, the concrete also needs to add water-reducing agent (hydroxypropyl cellulose 0.2) and water-retaining agent and other normally added additives.

6. Avoid rain and sun exposure during the first day of cement curing (at least 8 hours). Surface water repellency test can be done after 48 hours;

7. A week of natural maintenance will provide the best waterproofing effect;

Brush or spray:

1. Before painting or spraying the objects to be treated, dust, floating ash, slag and other attachments on the surface should be cleaned first.

2. Before treatment, the surface of the object to be treated should be dry to facilitate the penetration of the active ingredients of this product and better exert its waterproof effect.

3. Mix this waterproofing agent with water 8 to 15 times, stir evenly and then spray or use a brush or sponge to apply it on the surface of the substrate. Generally, apply once in a crisscross pattern without leaving any omissions. Generally, a satisfactory waterproof effect can be achieved with just one application. Depending on the density of the base material and waterproofing requirements, one more coat can be applied after the first coat is dry.

4. This product should be mixed according to construction needs and used in cash. The diluted solution should not be left for a long time. If the diluted waterproofing agent is not used up at that time, the lid should be tightly sealed and stored, and should be used up within 6 months. The active ingredients of this product can penetrate into the surface of the object to a certain depth and have a waterproof effect. This product does not have a waterproof effect on obvious cracks. The cracks should be filled first and then waterproofed.

5. This product is suitable for construction at an ambient temperature of 4°C to 40°C. The low-temperature film formation time is slow, and the high-temperature solution evaporates too quickly, which affects the absorption amount. It must not be washed away by rain within 24 hours after construction. Generally, it takes 4 hours for outdoor operation in summer to form a hydrophobic structure. , it will become a hydrophobic structure after 10 hours of outdoor operation in winter. A water repellency test can be done after 48 hours. The best waterproof effect will be achieved after one week of natural curing.

Precautions

Due to different proportions of materials and different working conditions, please test it on a small scale before using it in large quantities to confirm the effect before using it in large quantities.
