Dimethoxy-terminated and Triethoxy-terminated Polyether

Description

Manta E30 is a mix of Dimethoxy-terminated and Triethoxy-terminated polyether. E30 is important in moisture-curing systems. This system has not only advantages of easy processing and high stability of the formulations, but also very good mechanical properties and adhesive strength that can be adjusted within a broad range.

These products have following advantages: Simple compounding with conventional auxiliaries; Proper viscosity in formulations; High mechanical strength; Rapid curing; Broad adhesion profile.

Typical Physical Properties

Properties

E30 polymer is a clear, colorless viscous Oil. It hydrolyzes in the presence of moisture and tin catalyst to form silanols, which can then react with themselves to produce stable siloxane bonds. Ethanol and methanol vapor in small quantity less than 1.0 percent is released upon cure. This polymer has lower methanol emission.

Formulations with E30 are characterized by the following advantages:

Applications

This kind of polymer is used as a reactive binder for adhesives and sealants, potting compounds and as additive in coatings. Curing takes place in the presence of water or atmospheric humidity. Depending on the formulation, either one-part or two-part systems can be prepared: 

1) Elastic adhesives in structural and automotive engineering. 

2) Assembly adhesives  

3) Over paintable sealant for construction. 

4) Mold-making and potting compounds.

Safety and Storage

Keep in a cool and dry place and avoid storage in direct sunlight. Shelf life is 24 months. It is non-hazardous substance.
