Functional Silanes & Catalysts

The portfolio includes amino, epoxy, mercapto, isocyanato, vinyl, phenyl, long-chain alkyl and fluoro silanes, plus catalysts for MS polymer and silicone curing systems. Which Silane Do You Need? Amino silanes are commonly evaluated with epoxy, polyurethane and phenolic systems. Epoxy silanes suit acrylic and epoxy dispersions where an amino group is unsuitable. Mercapto and isocyanato silanes are used in reactive polymer and prepolymer systems. Alkyl silanes are selected for mineral-surface hydrophobization. Fluoro silanes are evaluated for oleophobic surfaces on glass and ceramics. Match the organofunctional group to the resin or substrate, then confirm the hydrolysable group, CAS number and purity requirements on the product TDS.
