Product Description

Manta WS136 is a solvent-free aqueous emulsion of functional polysiloxanes (approx. 50% active, pH approx. 9) used as a water-repellent additive in waterborne architectural coatings such as silicate paints, masonry coatings and stucco. Comparable to Wacker SILRES BS 1306, it is dosed at 1.0-5.0% by weight of the total formulation.

Manta WS136 is a solvent-free aqueous emulsion of functional polyorganosiloxanes. Formulated specifically as a premium water-repellent additive, it is highly compatible with diverse water-borne architectural systems, including silicate paints, synthetic resin dispersions, masonry coatings, and stucco.

By significantly reducing capillary water uptake while imparting an outstanding surface water-beading (roll-off) effect, WS136 ensures superior, long-lasting weather protection. Crucially, it achieves this powerful moisture defense without compromising the coating system’s inherent water vapor permeability (breathability).

Equivalent to Wacker SILRES® BS 1306.

Applications

WS136 is designed for seamless integration into waterborne coating systems and primers. It exhibits excellent shear stability and can be easily incorporated at any stage of production, including the let-down phase or as a post-addition directly into the finished paint.

Recommended Dosage: 1.0% to 5.0% by weight, calculated on the total weight of the final coating formulation. (Preliminary lab trials are recommended to determine the optimum dosage).

Processing Note: To ensure perfect homogeneity, stir the emulsion thoroughly before use.

Safety and Storage

The product is sensitive to frost and heat and should be stored in a cool, ventilated, dry place indoors, away from the sun and rain, and should not be stored at temperatures below 0℃ or above 40℃. Irreparable damage may occur. In the case of suspected frost or heat damage, the usability of the product must be checked before processing. Before using the material, please stir it well before use to ensure that the product is mixed evenly before use.

Under the correct storage and unopened conditions, Shelf life is 12 months. It can still be used after the shelf life expires and meets the technical specifications.
